It's Saturday, food shopping day:

You know (s)he'll make a fuss about having to come with you, so you go by yourself. He (she) wouldn't know what to buy anyway!

You've already tried three times to get him/her out of bed to come with you but nothing doing. You go on your own, hoping without really believing that (s)he will have got out of bed and made some lunch by the time you get back.
